About us
Our Mission
The mission of the Fosdick Street First Church of God is to radiate the
reality of the power of Christ, while equipping its parishioners to
live lifestyles of spiritual integrity which are conscientiously
committed to
Jesus Christ. It is also wholly
committed to building relationships with a bridge to the surrounding
community.
We believe that the gospel belongs to every person, and we want to share with others the forgiving and victorious grace we have experienced in our own hearts. We, therefore, are highly committed to working with others in evangelistic and missionary endeavors in order to fulfill the divine commission: Go ye into the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
Our Beliefs
The Fosdick Street First Church of God, although affiliated with a rapidly growing international movement, is non-denominational and non-sectarian.
This means we do nothold to a rigid standard of beliefs or doctrines instituted by man, but are led by God, the bible, and our God-given conscience with regards to our bible-based belief system.
The Church
We believe that the church is essentially one; that it is not an organization, but a spiritual organism, made up of all true Christians everywhere. We realize that no present day group or organization could properly claim to include all of God’s people.
We are, therefore, strong believers in the unity of all Christian believers and delight in fellowshipping with all true Christians. We are opposed to anything that tends to separate God’s people into competitive groups.
